Information recorded
When you visit this site, the analytics service may record:
- Visit time, page path, referring domain, and campaign tags in a link;
- Device category, browser, operating system, language, and screen-size category;
- Country or region inferred temporarily from the network address, and the network address when limiting unusually frequent requests;
- Specific actions such as opening a project page, the contact page, or an email link.
Analytics do not collect names, email contents, precise location, full network addresses, full browser identifiers, pointer trails, or screen recordings.
How visits are distinguished
The browser creates a random anonymous identifier to estimate visitor counts. It changes after 30 days by default and is also removed when you clear this site’s browser data. Each browser session has a separate temporary identifier used to understand which pages were visited during that session.
These identifiers do not contain a name, email address, or account information. The analytics system has no feature for using them to identify someone in real life.
Why it is recorded
Analytics are used only to understand traffic trends, popular pages, referral sources, project visits, and contact actions, and to help investigate unusual traffic or page failures.
How long it is kept
Raw events containing anonymous identifiers are kept for up to 180 days by default. Older data retains only daily aggregate counts for page views, visitors, sessions, project clicks, and contact actions; anonymous identifiers are removed.
The web server may also create standard access logs for security and troubleshooting. These are cleared according to the server maintenance cycle.
Where the data is stored
Analytics are received and stored by this site’s own service, without third-party behavioral analytics or advertising platforms. Only the site maintainer can sign in to view the aggregated dashboard.
How to opt out
This site respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals sent by the browser. Analytics do not start when either signal is detected. You can also clear the anonymous identifier through your browser settings.
